AI agent development company Ireland teams can switch off in one step

We build AI agents for Irish companies that act on email, CRM, documents and internal tools. Each one has an off switch and a volume cap, and it's tested before it runs alone.

The short answer

Digiton is an AI agent development company working with teams in Ireland remotely and on site by arrangement. Each agent we build passes a kill switch, a do-not-contact list, an allowlist, dedupe and a daily cap before it acts, is scored against your real cases, and is load-tested before launch.

Who builds AI agents in Ireland today

We recorded the Irish results for this search on 3 October 2026. Seven of the ten were pages from smaller firms, and one firm held two of those places. The other three were directories, one of them a list of 70 agentic AI companies in Ireland.

There's no shortage of firms offering to build an agent. It gets harder when the agent sends something to a customer at 2am, runs twice on the same record, or keeps going after a supplier changes an API.

Five ways agents fail, and what catches each one

FailureWhat stops it
A bad prompt or a bad data row starts an action nobody wanted, and it keeps repeatingA kill switch: one file that halts every job at once, checked before each action
The agent contacts someone who asked never to hear from youA do-not-contact list that overrides everything else
A new recipient or system slips into scope by accidentAn allowlist that starts empty, so every target is opted in on purpose
A retry or a rerun sends the same thing twiceA dedupe key per action, remembered for a fixed window
A loop runs away and burns through volumeA daily cap that ends the run

Digiton's own back office runs ten scheduled agents behind exactly these checks, written as one pure function with 27 unit tests. The code is a public template on GitHub, and a fresh copy can't send anything until someone switches it out of dry-run.

Testing the answers, and testing under load

Rails govern what an agent may do.

They say nothing about whether its reasoning is right, so we keep a test set built from your own past cases and score every prompt or model change against it before release.

In Parci, our real-estate AI platform, one of six agents only verifies drafts against their sources and can send a draft back. Parci covers 300 of 308 Portuguese municipalities and answers in about 47 seconds. Before any agent of yours goes live, we also run a load test at several times today's volume.

The Irish context: regulation and funding

The AI Office of Ireland. The AI Office coordinates how the EU AI Act is applied here and runs an AI Regulatory Sandbox Programme where developers test AI solutions with regulatory guidance. An agent that screens people or makes decisions about them deserves that conversation early.

Digital Discovery. Enterprise Ireland's grant pays for an external expert's advice or training and expects an action plan for the next 3 to 12 months. Its FAQ says implementation and product development aren't covered, and the expert can't be your IT technology or services provider.

An independent roadmap and a build are two separate engagements, and ours starts with a free 25-minute scoping call. Our Dublin overview sets out the wider Irish picture, and the AI agent development service page has the full method.

Frequently asked questions

Are n8n, Zapier or Make good enough for AI agents?

For a narrow, low-risk task they can be. Once an agent sends messages or changes records without review, you need a kill switch, dedupe and a daily cap that you can test, and that's easier to guarantee in code.

Can Enterprise Ireland's Digital Discovery grant fund an agent build?

No. The FAQ states that neither implementation nor product development is covered. The grant funds an external expert's advice or training days, and a roadmap or action plan.

Could Digiton be our Digital Discovery expert and then build the agent?

The grant page says the expert must be solution-agnostic and may not be your IT technology or services provider. If you want us to build, use a separate expert for the Discovery work and bring us the roadmap.

Does the EU AI Act apply to our agent?

That depends on what the agent decides and who it affects. The AI Office of Ireland coordinates the Act nationally and runs a regulatory sandbox. We give your advisers the technical detail they need to classify it.

What happens after the scoping call?

Tell us what the agent should do, which systems it touches and what it must never do. If an agent or prototype already exists, a paid production review comes next: five working days on the real repository and infrastructure, ten layers scored, one load test, and a fix list costed line by line. Then a build with a fixed scope. After launch we operate it, or we hand your engineers the runbook and the kill switch.

Can we read your guardrail code first?

Yes. The rails from Digiton's own agent fleet are public on GitHub with their tests and a demo that runs without credentials.
